Rita Anderson (1930—2004)

Rita Anderson

Rita Gay Clopton Anderson went home to be with her Lord on July 21, 2004, embraced by her children. She was born in Jefferson, Iowa on January 5, 1930 the 4th of 10 children born to Mildred & Lester Clopton.

Rita worked for Pelts Ins. Agency for 27 years and belonged to many women's business groups. An avid bowler for over 50 years she was secretary for 40 years for various leagues in the Northglenn-Thornton area. She was a volunteer for the Senior Friends with over 1,000 hours. She was also a great football fan and a die-hard Bronco supporter.

Preceding her in death, her husband of 53 years Robert L. Anderson. She is survived and cherished by her four children, Linda Phillips of Northglenn, Colorado; Donna Arbogast and husband Rod of Mesquite, Nevada; Robert D. Anderson of Broomfield, Colorado; Maggie Anderson and husband, Robert Brenneman of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. In lieu of flower donations, please send donations to Mountain States Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 1627, Eastlake, CO 80614 or Porter Peace Hospice.
